GAME of AMBIVALENCE

The participatory project is located at the interface of community music and contemporary music theatre. Ambivalence is negotiated artistically: How are supposedly contradictory things lived as commonalities in everyday life? The artists develop a performance in collaboration with people of different affiliations and diaspora communities in various labs.

The singers Özlem Bulut and Sakina Teyna interpret Kurdish songs with participants from various communities, which flow into the performance with experimental percussion sounds and developed spoken texts. Digital illustrations by Betül Seyma Küpeli comment on the music and movement of Maartje Pasman and the community dancers in the performance choreographed by Romy Kolb.

Finally, the artists of the project invite you to informal improvisation and forensic political oriental techno by DJ Seba Kayan at Club Mosaik in the cultural centre 7*Stern.
