Artists from the festival and Vienna's contemporary music scene fill the format with experimental sounds, gestures and aesthetic surprises - beyond classical performance formats. CLUB MOSAIK offers space for encounters and exchange, invites you to an informal end to the festival day and provides insights into artistic processes.
THE CLUB MOSAIK PROGRAMME 2025
not ERSTARREN | Helmut Oehring & Teresa Doblinger
19 September 21:30
Helmut Oehring is a CODA - a child of deaf parents. His mother tongue, the sign language of the deaf, is the DNA of his scores, choreographies and productions in its spatial syntax and grammar as well as its abstract, physical poetry. Together with clarinettist Teresa Doblinger, he presents audiovisual compositions - including four world premieres - in which he realises different transformations of visual languages in writing, sound and film and a special form of SignMimo choreographies based on transcription/notation systems for body languages.
ORLANDO TRIP | Fox On Ice
ORLANDO TRIP is a concert, speech performance and film in one - a story about Orlando, who leaves as a man and returns as a woman, about fluidity, transformation and the dissolution of fixed boundaries.
ARACHNE | Nika Bauman & Synesthetic Project
A viola becomes a narrator, a voice becomes an instrument: in UR THE SONATEthe violist, composer and vocalist Flora Geißelbrecht explores Kurt Schwitters' legendary sound poem - and her own artistic boundaries. Between Dada, sound research and language play, a virtuoso dialogue between voice, movement and instrument is created. Geißelbrecht, winner of the Berlin Prize For Young Artists and active in the Viennese new music, jazz, improv and theatre scene, breathes new life into the 100-year-old text with humour, precision and a touch of Vienna.
