In 2024, the participatory formats of the MTTW revolve around the effects of the Anthropocene - the destructive chaos of this world produced by humans - and search for artistic approaches to living together on an equal footing.

CREATIVE LAB 2024
Creative Lab.GARBAGE PATCH RELOVED
In collaboration with the artist Anthia Loizou, the pupils of the BRG6 Marchettigasse will explore the pollution of the oceans and life in the water and develop their own sea creatures to the music of Thomas C. Desi. At the end, the participants attend the performance of the hybrid opera Collapsology III in the Reaktor in Vienna's 17th district.
In the Creative Lab and the workshops, the creativity of the participants takes centre stage. We approach artistic creation through play and experiment transmedially with selected MTTW 2024 productions.

Open Workshop GARBAGE PATCH RELOVED | to the event KOLLAPSOLOGIE III
with Anthia Loizou, objects, site-specific installation and music by Thomas Cornelius Desi
Dive in and immerse yourself in a collective, creative process! Materials from our polluted oceans will be re-contextualised and sculpturally interwoven. The result is a site-specific installation in the reactor.
This workshop is an open format aimed at our audience and anyone interested in MTTW.

Workshop: Sleepless sounds
with Clara Frühstück, piano, electronics
Piano students from the Meidling music school experiment with sounds and performative expression on and around the piano. The pianist and performer Clara Frühstück shares unconventional playing techniques with the young people.
Finally, we will visit the event together OHNE NACHT. KEIN TAG. in the cable factory.
