Musiktheatertage Wien

The MUSIKTHEATERTAGE WIEN is a festival for contemporary music theatre that takes place annually in Vienna in September. Under the artistic direction of Georg Steker and Thomas C. Desi, we have been presenting national and international productions at established theatres and unusual venues since 2015. In 2026, these will include St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Favoriten Water Tower, the Nestroyhof Hamakom Theatre and the Odeon.

Our mediation format HÖRBLICKE is now an integral part of the festival. We are looking forward to a person who will shape the Education & Outreach section for the 2026 edition of the festival and contribute their own ideas. The formats can take a variety of forms, from audience discussions and school workshops to collaborations with universities.

Tasks

  • Conception and implementation of the HÖRBLICKE 2026 education programme
  • Collaboration with artists on educational formats
  • Collaboration with schools, communities and cooperation partners
  • Development of new audience groups

Profile

  • Experience in art education or outreach
  • Interest in contemporary music theatre
  • Independent and creative way of working
  • Desire for contact with different target groups
