HÖRBLICKE brings a passion for art to life and introduces people to the possibilities of artistic expression. Through interactive workshops, open rehearsals and installations, we create spaces for interaction where direct exchange between artists and the public is made possible.

Inclusion and openness to the diversity of cultural work form the basis and driving force behind formats such as FURTHER QUESTIONS, our post-performance discussions, which explore the social and artistic contexts of selected MTTW productions.

The aim is to feel, on the way home, that you have shared an inspiring and unifying experience with others – something to marvel at and talk about for a long time to come.

After the performance, we emerge from the crowd and delve deeper into the subject matter. What recent developments prompted the team at Muziektheater Transparant to create this piece, and what questions and images does the evening leave the audience with? The discussion will be led by international cultural manager Petra Klose, who has been implementing arts and cultural projects in conflict regions for over twenty years.

Together with the creative team behind the sci-fi poem ‚Zoé‘, dance scholar, choreographer and lecturer Martina Ruhsam will explore the theoretical and practical background to the piece following the performance.

Deep Listening · Workshop with Kristin Norderval

Using a recognised method developed by Pauline Oliveros, the Norwegian composer and singer Kristin Norderval explores the nature of listening. The difference between involuntary hearing and conscious, selective listening is explored in a playful and creative way within the group. Special, partly interactive exercises and sound meditations help participants to become aware of their own conscious sensory perception within the on-site acoustic environment.
Everyone is welcome to join us to rediscover their sense of hearing and, perhaps, to deepen and transform their experience of the thematically related musical performance ‚The Soul of Things‘ either before or after the workshop.
No prior musical knowledge required; admission is free.

To start with, everyone can come together in the video games room to explore the creative possibilities of visual communication and design through video. This will be followed by a discussion with the audience. 

Sound Treasure Hunt · FLUIDE III: WATER – an acoustic journey of discovery for children

23 and 24 September, 3.00 pm, water playground, ages 4 to 12

Free admission

Armed with a treasure map, a pen, Bluetooth headphones and an audio guide, the children set off on an audio adventure. All the necessary items are provided on site.
