are a festival for contemporary music theatre
The Vienna Music Theatre Festival 2025 is dedicated to the imperceptible shifts and subtle breaks in our social and cultural norms.
The festival shows how small shifts and cracks can make a big difference: from new access for deaf and blind people to power shifts in the cultural sector and feminist taboo-breaking to collective acts of resistance.
This year's productions put established structures and paradigms to the test. We invite you to not only allow the unfamiliar, but to visualise and celebrate it together.
These were the MUSIC THEATRE DAYS VIENNA 2025
The Vienna Music Theatre Days 2025 are over - and it was a party! From the 17 to 27 September the latest works of music theatre were presented at 8 different venues, such as the Theater Odeon or the Theater am Werk, but also in unusual locations such as the Aspern Memorial Forest or the Zacherlfabrik. One focus was placed on shifts and breaks in our social and cultural norms. |
