Nava Hemyari (*1993 in Tehran) studied composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Her works have been performed at venues including the Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the London Opera House, the ORF RadioKulturhaus, the Arnold Schönberg Centre, the Alte Schmiede in Vienna, Yale University, as well as in Graz and Trieste. She has worked with ensembles such as PHACE, Company of Music, the Black Page Orchestra and Ensemble Platypus.

Her works have been performed at festivals such as Mixtur Barcelona, Manifeste Ircam, the Bludenz Days of Contemporary Music, Listening Closely Tyrol, the SHIFT Festival at the Royal Opera House, London, Teatri del Suono in Trieste, musikprotokoll and on several occasions at Wien Modern. In 2023, she was Composer in Residence at the Imago Dei Festival. In 2022, she received the City of Vienna’s annual grant for her chamber opera *Taxidermic*, and in 2023, the annual grant from the Austrian Federal Chancellery.

As the lead singer of her own ensembles – the Punctum Collective for contemporary music and the Luxbrumalis Ensemble for Renaissance and early Baroque music – she has composed numerous works for voice and choir. Her work involves both professional and amateur ensembles and draws on a variety of approaches, including graphic notation for vocal scores.

Igor Gross He began his career as a percussionist in the classical field. Whilst studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (majoring in percussion), he worked as a substitute in various orchestras and performance venues. He gradually developed a growing interest in new music, electronic music and free improvisation, and began working closely with contemporary composers. Igor Gross is also active as a composer himself. In his pieces, he uses the vibraphone as an electronic sound machine.
