The Vienna Music Theatre Festival made the choice this year!

From 18 to 28 September 2024, the latest works of music theatre were presented at 10 different venues such as the Odeon, WUK, Theater am Werk and Reaktor, as well as in unusual locations such as Schloss Neugebäude and Yppenplatz. The programme focused on the ecological future and the active participation of the audience.

With guest performances from Germany, Belgium, Lithuania and the Ukraine as well as in-house productions, the programme delighted audiences with time-critical, cross-genre concepts - whether participatory performance, VR experience or environmental opera. Workshops, the HÖRBLICKE mediation series, the AMD music theatre conference and the late-night club MOSAIK rounded off the ten intensive and very successful festival days.
