Der Projektraum im WUK wird an zwei Festival-Tagen zum offenen Begegnungsraum für Newcomer! Du bist neu in Wien oder im Studium? Dieses Format richtet sich an junge Studierende, insbesondere aus den Bereichen Theater-, Musik-, Kultur- und Medienwissenschaften.
In zwei Themen-Lectures geben wir Einblicke in die Arbeit am zeitgenössischen Musiktheater in Wien und unterstützen dich dabei, erste Schritte in die Wiener Musiktheaterszene zu machen!

Concept, direction and stage design: Kapitolina Tsvetkova
This music theatre performance explores the relationship between humans and nature, isolation and globalization as well as the real and the imaginary. The starting point is anthropological studies by Nastassja Martin and Charles Stepanoff and behavioral patterns of plankton that produce bioluminescent light to protect themselves from predators.

In Turn Turtle Turn 2 – the reality bang, we look at the emotional landscapes behind today’s precarious situation of climate change and political backlash. Focus is on emotions like loss, nostalgia, and catastrophe euphoria. Oblivia thinks that these emotions are crucial to understand in order for change for the better to happen. The performance explores with humour and lightness the effects of a change of the Anthropocene worldview that is based on the human perspective and looks at how it could be dissolved and reinterpreted.
